I hand drew an image then scanned it to Gimp so i could seperate it as layers so I can color it differently.

Well my problem is, the scanned image prints out way smaller then the actual image. Tried scaling it, but Gimp seems to not let me make the size I want it.

At what resolution (dpi) did you scan your artwork? Do you still have a copy of your scan that has not been scaled? What are the settings in Image > Print Size > Set Image Print Resolution?

Image > Print Size > Set Image Print Resolution is where you want to adjust your resolution, not with scale. Ideally you want to scan your artwork to the final print size in the first place, and not change anything here at all. Either way, 300dpi at final print size is what you're after.
