I am not sure if anyone else has tried these new gildan shirts but they are amazing in quality. The threads are very nicely stitched, they feel thicker but soft, and they print really well on for DTG.

Has anyone else had a chance to try these?

My local Gildan supplier has not picked up that one, so I haven't looked into the pricing. But I am curious if they really are directly comparable to a Beefy-T, as I currently have to order those from out of state. As it is, I use G2000 as a backup for Beefy-Ts, as the cut is essentially the same, but G2000s are like a burlap bag compared to a ringspun Beefy-T. Hopefully my local supplier brings in these new shirts.
It's against the rules to discuss specific wholesale pricing, but at S&S the Hammers are 20% less than the Beefys at regular price. And Hammers come with tearaway labels, which has prevented me from using the Beefy in the past.

Its funny you say that its like the beefy t because I was thinking the same. I do think its actually nicer than the beefy t as I have now used both and the collar and stitching for these seem top notch.
UK pricing is about the same as the Gildan 2000, and the weight is similar. FOTL have just introduced a ringspun cotton T at the same price point.

Makes things complicated - I try to get the customer to 'upgrade' to the G2000 or FOTL 'Super Premium' due to the finer knit and better print surface. Now these two ringspun shirts are available I have to choose between the better print surface for me or a better finished product for the customer.
Nice problem to have.
I agree I feel it's similar to the beefy-t. However, my hubby didn't like it. I brought one home for him to try. Said it was cut funny or something. He typically wears any of the other Gildan's fine. So don't know if that was a fluke deal or not. From what I've seen they're a little more expensive than the other Gildan's but you're paying for the ringspun cotton I assume.
Is the fruit of the loom ringspun t-shirt the "Platinum EverSoft"? If yes how does the "NEW Dual Defense technology" effect decorating it?

In the UK it is sold as 'Premium Ring Spun', which is confusing because they already have a 'Super Premium' at a similar weight and price.

Doesn't mention Dual Defense technology.
It's not labelled the same - at least not in Europe.
The one in the link is retail packaged. The retail garments are not always the same as those available at wholesale to the imprint market, so it could be difficult to find an exact match.
Finally got in a few samples of the Gildan Hammer.

It is definitely combed ringspun cotton, nice soft feel. Seems to be the same cut as the G2000 UltraCotton (about one inch shorter than a Hanes Beefy-T of the same size). Fills the slot for a heavy, boxy, soft shirt.

Hopefully my local Gildan supplier picks these up, then I can quit ordering in Beefy-Ts from out of state.

I am new to screen printing. How does this Hammer Line compare to the Gildan 64000? I ordered the Gildan 64000 Heather from Amazon to test the feel and love it so far. But I am curious about other brands too.
