Hello all, first post here... I recently ordered some Gildan 2000 Ultra T-Shirts from buytshirtsonline.co.uk. I bought both L and XL sizes as I wanted to see which fit me best before I buy more.

The few sites I've found that sell them in the UK charge quite alot on delivery, I spent £4 odd on the shirts and another £3.99 on delivery alone - and that was for 2 shirts!

Does anyone know of a cheaper UK retailer, either online or in shops?

I have a Fruit of the Loom factory near me and last I knew they actually had a store there. Problem is I heard their shirts run small.

Any help is appreciated, I wasted over £70 on shirts last week as the majority of them shrunk and I couldn't get into them after washing, even though I washed them cold and air dried them. :(

Maybe try Ralawise online.
There are plenty of those shops that women go to get cheap bra’s etc. Matalan for instance do shirts for £1- £2 - although I wouldn't recommend this unless you eventually want a shirt that is 30% shorter and 40% wider than when you first bought it and a collar that your shoulders fall through.
If you are ordering from a T shirt company then it obviously depends how many you order as to how much they cost but if you are spending £70 in one week then it could be worth it - but you need to buy them all at once. It allows you to choose the heavier weight shirts, - which is what you want if you are creating stuff for yourself. No point in painting a masterpiece on toilet paper.
Either way you can buy a sacrificial shirt you like the look of and machine wash it to see how it shrinks before you print and if turns out the right size then buy lots of that kind. If it shrinks too much then buy the next size up. If you do that you'll pretty much have a bomb-proof shirt once it's finished. You can buy a few different colours and that won’t affect the delivery cost.
Buying 2 shirts online probably isn't going to work. Take the hit initially to find out what is the right shirt and then order a heap of them online.
p.s. I once bought a pair of cords from one of those cheap shops and wore them on a plane travelling home from work. When I went to pull them up, the waistband completely parted from the trousers. I was left in the plane toilet clutching the waistband around my hips with the trousers around my ankles. Never again; you get what you pay for!
