Has anyone had luck with getting a retail store to sell their shirts in store?

I am wondering how I go about it, the stores I think that would be interested sell a variety of brands so they don't seem to be locked to any one type of brand. But who do I send my samples to?

Also, would be very interested in understanding how the pricing works, my margins are already wafer thin, if I sold any cheaper I would be losing money, I could probably save a bit by printing in larger quantities though.

Yes. I currently sell at 25 stores which took me about a year to do. The retail stores will expect to pay half of retail prices.

Where are you ? And what sort of t shirts do you do ? As i have two shops and always looking for different stuff to stock.

@flamer, you approach the stores that have your customers in. If the stores don't sell your gear quickly and easily, they won't buy again.

You might even want to start off with a consignment just to get some traction.

janem: I am in New Zealand so it probably doesn't work out too practical.. My business is focused on premium street wear, shirts in the $60-$80 mark.

Ok I think I might take some sample sin and see if anyone takes a bite
