I have a friend who purchased this printer from equipment zone a year ago. She used it once and put it in storage due to personal reasons. I am thinking of purchasing the entire setup for $3500 which is less than half of what she paid for it. I do have people interested in buying merchandise if I get it. My questions is I don't really have experience. Do you have advise for getting started using a machine like this? Is there anything I should know first? Is this a good deal?

First things first.....you will need training on how to properly use the printer and maintain it, while the price is very good, you will at the very least have to purchase new ink and pretreatment, at the most depending on how it was stored you will need a print head, and a entire new ink delivery system. If you know nothing about DTG you'll find that these printers require a controlled environment and a lot of TLC to keep them running correctly and to make any money with it.
While I would jump at the chance it may not be the right thing for you to do and you could wind up wasting $5-6k and never get your investment back, my advice is to take a few days and read all you can here on TSF about DTG and the T-Jet2 printer before you make the jump.
