Hi Guys,

I have two of these presses. One just the 16 and one 16A. The 16A (the auto open) has two extra pneumatic rods that connect to the upper platen to help with opening the press.

The problem is that it is extremely difficult to close the press. I am a pretty strong guy and I find it rather hard to do. The second press that I have does not have the A addition and it only has two of the rods instead of the 4.

Would it be a problem to remove 2 of the rods? Will that damage the press when it auto opens?

Turn the large knob on the top of the heatpress clockwise. This will loosen the pressure of the heatpress.
