From what I hear that there are no clogging issues with the Ricoh system, well yes, in my opinion that makes the Epson sublimation system "old technology" now.Old technology???
Ummm, that's exactly what I said. The Ricoh system does not clog.To Pixtar: I have Ricoh sistem and never have clogging. On the other side, my Epson stylus d120 (I have two of them) have clogging problems allmost allways (with sublimation ink). Only with magenta, but...
Keep in mind the clogging issue has nothing to do with the Epson printer. The vast majority of dye sub printers uses the same heads (piezzo). It is the frigging Artainium ink that is the issue. Unfortunately Sawgrass still pushes this ink on the small format market. We use J-tek ink and have not had a clog in months using Epson printers. From what I hear that there are no clogging issues with the Ricoh system, well yes, in my opinion that makes the Epson sublimation system "old technology" now.
