GCC LX Expert Installation Help

I received my new GCC LX Expert 24, read all the instructions and was ready to install to computer. When I connect to my Windows 7 computer it should install new hardware easily but my computer does recognize the new hardware. Any help would really be appreciated.

I believe for the Expert you will need to install drivers. Did you receive drivers with your cutter?

Thank you for responding. I checked link you gave and it said to contact dealer before downloading. I will have to give Sign Max a call on Monday. I received cutter on Friday and was anxious to try but looks like I will have to be patient. Thanks again.

The cutter should have had a DVD come with it containing the drivers and Great Cut.
It does have but I tried installing it numerous times and it still won't even test cut. The machine turns on so I know that is working but that is all it does. I have watched every you tube video I can find on the installation and tried them all, no luck. I even went to GCC and read the instruction book and it does have in bold red if you have windows 7 to download driver. Thank you for your help.

I would suggest you contact Nick (in the thread) as he helped me when I first tried to get my Expert 24 LX working.

I just got off the phone about an hour ago with Ivan at Sign Max. We spent probably an hour trying to get connected to my computer. It was something to do with the usb or com ports. I am NOT computer savvy, but long story short, after he took over my computer and checked and rechecked he found the problem and it now cuts.:) I cannot begin to thank Ivan at Sign Max enough. I would have never been able to get connected. Also, a special thank you to this forum..to everyone that gave me suggestions.

I have the Expert pro, just hooked everything up, using Usb, and I cannot get it to work either. I have windows 7, 64bit. Can you guys share some light on what I need to do to get it going? Thanks!
Where did you buy the cutter? Whoever you purchased from should help you by telephone. That is the only way I could get my hooked up, tried for two days on my own and finally called supplier. He took over my computer and got me going.
I got mines from plan_b on here at heatpressvinyl.com. I messaged him but he has yet to response. Think I will call the supplier.
