Hey everyone I am new here but seems like the only place to get answers for this type of stuff. So I recently got a Gcc Expert 24 (I think the first version) I am able to get decent cuts but I am still wondering about the settings you guys use.
I use Surecuts 4 Pro and I am not sure what settings I should you. I have been doing a blade offset of .275, overcut 0, pressure 160-165g (really curious on this because it seems like alot) and I have multi-cut set to 3 because it seems on smaller details don't get all the way cut If I do 1 or 2, but is that normal to do multi cut or do I need to just adjust my blade depth. I am using Avery 700 Vinyl

These types of questions always have the same answer.. It's up to your machine. I have the same machine (well the LX version) but it doesnt matter what I use for my settings, once I change the cutting needle in the holder and switch vinyl types (HTV to flock to holographic, etc) the settings I used before need to be changed. The pressure/force must be checked each time you change material/adjust needle bu doing a test cut on the material. The speed I feel depends on the intricacy of the design I'm cutting. Supper detailed and I lower the speed to 5. Lettering and I bump it up to 12.
I could have a pressure/force of 85 cutting white HTV and then I go and cut some flock (different needle/offset/angle/speed/force) and do test cuts on it.. If I switch back to my original HTV, I can't automatically assume my force should be 85 again, I could have my needle set in the holder a mm off and now my force needs to be 68.
I would suggest keeping your scraps and using them for your test cuts (the litle box the GCC cuts)
