hi guys

i know it has been a while since i last updated but to let every one know, found out that neoflex wasnt firing due to blown f6 fuse, supposed to buy new mother board, but thanks to tigers help and a lot of information from mr john cooper, found a way to replace the fuse without buying new mother board.

many thanks to all that helped (john, tigers and spiderman...etc)

owe you all a drink..

will post photos soon of what was done

:D

cheers

Maybe some could give me the logic of placing a fuze on a motherboard that is not user replaceable? If the fuse is there to protect motherboard circuitry, it blows and according to the manufacturer you replace motherboard? What's the use?
When my eyes were better no problem with surface mount component replacement, but now not so easily done.
Can someone more knowledgeable than me explain logic behind such design scheme?

It blows to protect the printhead not the mainboard.

Maybe cost reason
And of course people that use printers are not smart as we suppouse (most people)
I remember many years ago when people call support asking "what key is anykey?" Then programers change the statment "press any key" by "press enter key"
Here within the forum everyone knows how to replace the ink cartridge, go to the office next door and you are going to be surprised
