How does anyone get started in their own brand? I have contacted about 10 screen printers the last two looked promising as they started they can do between 10-12 colors in a print which I know is a lot but believe some of our designs will require. So I reached out to see if they could quote me and to find out how many colors one of the designs had as we don't know about half tones or anything to do with screen printing. We get send us your design and we will let you know, then crickets.

If you aren't a screen printer and want to have your own brand starting with shirts. Do you have to out source overseas? Do you need to buy a printing company? Or just end up going with a DTG or something like that?

Any advise or where to turn would be greatly appreicated feeling defeated before we even get started.

12 colors will be expensive in screen-printing, and usually you don't really need that many. Most designs can be printed with 4-9 colors.

How many designs you plan to print, and how many prints per design? Any other requirements? Labels, Tags, Packaging etc.

I'm not sure how many colors are in the designs is the biggest problem. We plan to get them printed in smaller amounts to start then will go up as it will be on going starting around 100-200 per print 5 shirts.

They each have a smaller chest design then a large design on the back yes we want relabeling for branding we would like to get hung tags once we get going the goal will be to get our brand in to other local boutiques. We have already spoken to a few and they are very interested as we have shown them a couple of the designs and they really liked them.
