I have been speaking with anajet about this issue this is what they said last.." I must inform you that the AnaJet Technical Support team is no longer able to offer support or assistance to third party customers" so I guess I....or anyone else who buys used anajet printers is out of luck for now..
They have helped before when I've called but I guess were at the end of the road they want me to send it in or stop calling them lol and I just want to get back to work with my printer
Yes there are fuses on the big main board I think in the back of the printer I'm currently looking for someone who can test them because I have never done that....this is what I think is wrong with mine
update-- for what its worth i did find out that the red lights on top left to right labeled 1 thru 8, coincide with the individual chips left to right in the carriage .for example if you cover the first chip with tape the r8 light lights up.. so what ever the function of the third chip is what is failing and causing the auto maintenance loop. i checked all my fuses and cleaned all of the ribbon cables. there are 8 chips 8 lights on top and 8 ink carts so im assuming that our problem is somewhere else in the printer
I ended up changing every part I just took my time and took a lot of pics..everything works I had to rewire the carriage so that it always thinks the reset chip is in
