Hi there! So I'm new to the laser transfers - have only done vinyl & dye sub - & decided to try out the Forever Dark A/B sample pack. Here are a few disclaimers:

1 - I'm only using CMYK laser for use on white or light garments
2 - I have a clamshell press with the bottom platen heated prior to the marry

The A foil looks great off the printer. But when I marry the sheets, I'm getting toner transferring to the B sheet. I've tried a couple different adjustments and still not happy with the results.

Do I need to increase the heat or pressure? And would it be beneficial to turn the paper halfway through the process to ensure even pressure?

Have you checked to determine if your press is getting the correct temperature? All of my presses are off 5-15 degrees, we get better results once we adjusted to compensate for the temp gauges not being accurate. You do not want to open the press and spin the pages, that will release heat and that is not something you want...

I found I was getting a good marry when I set the press so I could not pull a piece of paper out from the sides and pressed at 330 for 120 seconds. Your press may be different, you need to experiment some...

I'd suggest printing 4-8 small designs on a sheet, cut them apart, then test different pressures, temperatures and press times to see what works for you...

Thanks for that info! I haven't checked to see if the temp is accurate, but I think I'll do that tonight. Maybe that's part of my problem.

And I definitely think I'm gonna have to cut some smaller images from a single sheet, I've only got 4 sheets left and I'm really hoping I can get this figured out with what I have.

1. Without a white toner printer, you can only transfer high density colors. For example you can transfer red, but not pink. You can transfer black, but not grey.
2. Also a good quality press is needed.

picture would be nice.. your press is propaply the issue.. i had a clamshell hotronix 16x24 that for some reason wouldn't work and was probably the temp not staying where it should be.. i upgraded to the fusion and have no maryring issues with toner sticking to b sheet now.
