Font and lettering size for tshirts

Trying to have some shirts made and need to know the best font and size of the letters to use. Silver vinyl lettering on black women's t-shirts.

This is what and how to be put on the shirt, 2 words with one word per line:

Govenaires
Colorguard

So my question is what is the best font and size for a ladies fit tshirt? Would you recommend the gildan 2000L black tshirt? These are going to be worn while walking in parades in hot, humid weather.

Thanks for your advice!

I like the gilden 2000l shirts they wash real nicely.. same with the anvil 968..

if you are having them made the company who is doing them should know what size would look good.

Also, what size shirts?? a small shirt compared to a 2x shirt makes a difference on size..

easy font that cut nicely and girly..

It's all a matter of style, preference, placement and intent.

Where are the names going? Are you looking for understated presence or bold. What do the words convey?
I assumed these were jr./high school girls that are in "Colorguard"..

I choose a girly font that would be perfect for center chest...I think stacking them would be easier then straight across.
How about something like this.

Along these lines......I'm doing a singing letter representing our local high school. They have a "rocking R". It's a big bold wide R with curved bottom. Just want to cut that single letter out of vinyl and outline with stones. What size should it be for an adult medium or large? Need to know asap.
For an adult m or l, I usually go with about 7-8 in wide on the longest word and total of 4ish inches high for both words. That can vary with font and other considerations.
Well, the letter does not sing! lol. I meant, a single letter.
My particular design is a single letter. What do you think about size and placement. A big bold letter, like an applique only doing it in vinyl.

If you want it big and bold then probably 6/7/8 inches wide and whatever length is necessary for the letter to be proportional. The size will vary a bit with the letter. I will sometimes print it out on paper and lay it on the shirt to see what works best.
