I can't see why there would be a difference between white and colored shirts, but you never know!

We double hit our foil, no flash, but two print strokes, then it goes through the conveyor dryer for cure (a little lower temp than normal prints) then to the heat press for foil application. We actually take the extra step to set the foil post heat press - we run them through the conveyor again which ensures the foil is cured correctly and will not wash off.

What color ink are you using. We have found that foil sticks to dark ink better than light colored ink. We don't use any special inks for the foil to stick to, just a thick coat with a 110 mesh of a dark ink works fine for us. We cure it like any other shirt and have not had any problems. Maybe someone else has another solution.

White ink is a very good foil adhesive as well. If you are underbasing on dark garments that might be some of it.

White ink is very dense and generally high in pigment and fillers to make it opaque, so the foil likes it.
