I saw this article

LED Tubes Will Make Fluorescents Seem Old-Fashioned

showing off LED bulbs made in the shape and size of fluorescent tubes so that they could be installed as replacements to fluorescent tubes in ordinary fluorescent light fixtures. I was wondering if this might work with UV-blacklight tubes too by replacing fluorescent tubes in exposure units that use them with LED fluorescent tube replacements that use UV-blacklight? (I don't know if those actually exist on the market since the article only mentioned regular light fluorescent tubes)

They would work in the unit as the ballast for a unfiltered blacklight and a standard florescent are the same but those LEDs is very doubtful will put out any UV light and not in the right spectrum to cross link emulsion.
