I recently seen someone on youtube do sweatshirt using flock on flock. In the past, most suppliers said this wouldnt work, so I never tried it! Has anyone else used this technique and what was the results?

Well I think the claim here is that their flock is thin so it can be layered, while other flock is thick and can't. I have only used Siser and Deco Flock and they were both thin to me and I have layered them. But two colors is as far as I go, anything more than that makes it look bulky & feels heavy IMO.

Most suppliers would tell not to layer the flock, so I'm wondering if this is some new kind of flock or is it the same old stuff we've been using.
This Flock is new for us. We have been selling the Thermo-Flock to date which we still have, but Thermo-Flock is not recommended for layering with flock on flock. With the new brand you can layer and it is durable. I'm not certain what other manufacturers guarantee their flock to be layer-able so I can't speak to that...

I have only been doing this for a short time (about 5 years) but I have never heard that you could not layer flock. I do it all the time on hoodies and I have not had one customer complain or bring the garment back. I also only use Siser so can't say if this works with other flock.

Just curious, what would be the reason you can't layer it?
