Hello everyone,

I just set up my new wf 110o and tried my first transfer. I am using JPSS. When I peeled after pressing it was like the cotton fibers were showing through or ink was missing and it was slightly sticky in that spot. I put a teflon sheet over it and pressed again thinking when I stretched it slightly after pressing it caused it. I will attach the two pics I took. I apologize about the pic as I took them with my phone.

Thank you,

Did you run a lint remover like for dog hair over the are before pressing? Was this purchased from a supplier or retail? Sometimes items purchased at retail have a finish and that will cause ink problems. Also Mike's questions. ALWAYS prepress. Even some items purchased from a supplier need the lint roller run over them. I am talking about the lint remover that uses tape to remove lint etc. Found in the laundry section and pet section.

It is a Gildan 100% cotton shirt and yes it was bought commercially from one of the craft stores, I have not placed my wholesale shirt order yet. The ink is from Cobra and I did prepress the shirt then pressed at 350 for 30 seconds. After peeling it hot I put the teflon sheet back over it and pressed again for about 10 seconds. No I did not lint roll it just did a good look over.

I have another photoshop question that I will post else where but if anyone reading this knows the answer please let me know. In doing that design last night I kept trying to make it bigger and at 10x10 it said it was too big for the paper, it is not I am using the large JPSS transfers. What I want to know is how to make the box, background smaller so it does not interfere with printing. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks,

If you repressed you need to restrech. You reheat the polymer coating causing it to start to refuse back together.

I'm not sure how photoshop works because I use coreldraw, but you should be able to select the paper size somewhere in the program, maybe even in the printer setup area. Just select the size that is at least an inch bigger on all 4 sides of your image.
