First time transfer user TOTALLY TERRIFIED

so, I have been doing screen printing, rhinestones and HTV for about 3 years. This year I got an unexpected volume of bling and print school spirit wear. YAAAY! I am a one-woman shop so it came down to having to outsource some work, or turn away customers. I decided, based on what I have read in t-shirt forums, to do plastisol transfers from Proworld for the print work. I have about 1700 shirts to do spread between 5 designs and I am absolutely terrified that something will go wrong. Someone please tell me you have been there and that it is going to be OK. I am a control freak who doesn't like not being in control of every step of the process.

By my calculations that averages over 300 shirts per design. You are buying 1700 transfers and pressing them yourself? That is a lot. Are you buying extras for print mistakes? Any time we do transfers we purchase extra shirts and transfers. Personally I would have outsourced this to a nearby reliable screen printer.

This doesn't mean doing these all by transfer won't turn out just fine.
1700 transfers! that would be a lot of time having to line up each transfer on the shirt and then pressing it. I think contracting it to another screen printer would be quicker, easier, and probably cheaper than transfers for an order of that size.
Time I can do. I have actually mapped out my time and I should be OK. If I can do a 500 shirt multi-dec glitter vinyl and rhinestone job, I can do this. I actually have over a month to get it done. The spirit wear committees like to get everything set before school gets out, but then don't want the shirts delivered until a couple weeks before school starts so they don't have to store them. I definitely plan on ordering extras. I'm more worried about adhesion issues, washability, etc. I got a sample from ProWorld and it went on beautifully and washed well, but my paranoia persists.
Help! My easyTrans transfers aren't sticking to the shirts! I have tried going hotter, pressing longer, going cooler, pressing for less time. Nothing is working!!! I need these shirts by this afternoon. Any tips?

You mean the paper is sticking to the shirts?

No, the image is not sticking to the shirt...
Sorry. For some reason I read "they are sticking" instead of "they aren't sticking". Is the shirt the correct material for the transfers?
Are you preheating the shirts? Have you tried increasing the pressure?

It went GREAT! The customers are thrilled and have ordered another 600 shirts. They also want me to work up designs for cold weather items (hoodies, long sleeve, etc.) I ended up going with F&M Expressions for my transfers.

Hi RHM,

Do you mind if we get in contact please? Maybe in PM.

I need to pick your brains with a few questions if that is ok.

You seem to be doing well and I am starting.

If that is ok then please PM me.
Polyester wicking shirt. What time and temp is recommended for these preprinted transfers.
