Got the printer up and running with the help of Hawkeye from Equipment Zone. Using the RIP from Digital Factory (Cadlink). No glitches to speak of. Priming it took most of my white ink. (Be sure to buy extra).Just happened to be the hottest and driest day of the year... 93 degrees and 20% humidity. Ordered a humidifier but it won't be in until Friday. Made a makeshift one and the room stayed at 52%. Got the EZ SpeadtreaterTX with Image Armor dialed in and was real happy with the white. The one shown is even on a Gildan Ultra cotton (G2000). Washing it tonight. Easy end of day cleaning. Working more with the RIP tomorrow before Hawkeye flies out.

Tell the Hawkeye that Billy asked "What happened to his signature blonde!?" He will know what I'm talking about. If he doesn't he is playing dumb. Tell him I said hello as well.

Good to see things are going smoothly.

Regarding ink charge, this may have changed but you used to be able to charge in WHITE mode but select CLEANING fluid then once charged swapa to WHITE and use much less ink.

Worth checking when installing any other kit.

Bryan,

Great pictures. Very clean organized shop.

Please take some more today if you have a chance.

With regard to heavy white ink usage during charging, I assume you can mix OEM supplied with printer 250 ml inks with larger 600 ml inks if one color (white in this case) is depleted first but all other color levels are still good.
Dense question but that's me I suppose.

No such thing as a bad question. Yes, you can change out to another cartridge for that channel.

The LCD display has "real-time" ink levels so you can monitor what's left in each cartridge. I would HIGHLY suggest getting the 600's. As we all know the white ink is used in much more abundance then the other colors. As far as using 1 x 250ml white cart and 1 x 600ml white cart at the same time...that's a question I am not sure has been asked before. I would assume it wouldn't matter though since they have chips on them it "should" recognize the size of the cartridge and adjust accordingly.

You are correct. The chips would recognize the size of the cartridge you put in. So it would not be an issue putting a different size cartridge in.

A 50% humidity level seems to be the optimum level for all the direct to garment printer brands. What needs to be remembered is that this level needs to be maintained 24 / 7 in the room the printer is in, not just during working hours.

Actually, the Epson can operate as low as 20% and as high as 80% humidity with great consistency. When the ink delivery system is as controlled as the EPSON, there is more leeway in the need for extreme humidity climates.

Being a new model, I do not believe there is much real life experience running the F2000 at a low humidity level. For the safest way to insure long life and issue free operation we suggest to all our customers to keep the humidity level at least at 50% and not below - at all times in the space the printers are in. This level has seemed to consistently be the best point for running trouble free with most d-t-g brands. Why take a chance.

This may be the case, but this is in Epson's manual, so I would say it's solid information.

Spent the day trying different shirts and settings. Had to dress the naked mannequins in the shop :) . FYI, I did the gorilla for In-n-Out so I am not in trouble. Still learning cadlink. Only issue that cropped up (naturally after Hawkeye left) was when I sent an image directly from Photoshop to the RIP, the white and color printed about 1/8 inch off. Same file from Illustrator printed perfect. ???

Bryan,

Shirts look great. How did you find the pretreating?

Please give our support department a call on Thursday and they can go over the RIP details with you.
