Your mugs are looking great.
And the only time you will have to worry about the image is if you use cheap ink via ebay, cheap paper via ebay, or cheap mugs via ebay. sublimated mugs are definitely a heritage item, I've got one that I put in the press to help keep it in shape when heating and cooling and it has taken over a year to lose enough of the colour back to the clean wrap to notice it happening.

Infinite. That's the great thing about dye-sub. You will only notice a degradation in quality or fading as the actual mug or cup wears out.

After 2 washes, they still look like I just made them. How many washes can I get out of them do you think?

The mugs undergo 400 degrees in the transfer process; the dishwasher won't hurt them.
