Where can I find requirements for embroidering FR Clothing? Need to find out if we're required to use FR thread. We do a lot for electric companies and getting into oilfield products.

I would ask your customer. They should know if their uniforms need to be fire resistant. I would charge extra for using FR thread so if it’s required you can justify the additional fee. If you want additional information you might check OSHA standards.

Read this, nfpa 70e and OSHA. It should be up to employer. I know for fire I don’t use fr thread unless they request.

If you are embroidering on FR clothing then to maintain compliance you should be using FR threads.
