Hi,

We need to print a lot of transfers (200) at one time and would like to buy a reliable printer that is also fast. I did some research and it seems like ricoh gx 7000 is pretty good in terms of speed but according to reviews and a few threads on here there are some reliability issues with it.

Are there any other printers that cost $1,200 or less that fit our criteria?

Thanks for your help.

Are you printing 200 of the same design?.....If so you might want to outsource to get better quality and cost....
Yeah, 200 is the high number though. Most of the time it would be 100 or so of the same designs and we usually put 2 designs on one page so it would be 50 pages on a paper that's like 12" x 18".

Most the reviews you will read about I believe are using that printer for sublimation. The Ricoh printer have a reliable track record with the exception being when used with sublimation ink. I do not know how they perform with pigment ink or what they use a their OEM ink, if it's pigment you probably be ok but if it's dye there may be some clogging issues. I recommend going to cobra inks site and se if they have ink available and if so give them a call they are knowledgable in this area. I use my epson 1400 for heat transfers for the last 3 years but it is no speed demond
