Fabric types

Hey all...me again.

While researching the different types of fabrics other's are using, I have a few questions regarding some of them

#1 38% cotton (6.25% organic), 50% polyester (6.25% recycled), 12% naturally occurring rayon

#2 preshrunk 65% polyester/35% cotton 1x1 baby rib-knit binding

Now forgive if I'm wrong, but isn't rayon VERY sensitive to print on? How did she print these without scorching the shirt?

Rib tanks...wouldn't the design be distorted because the ink didn't go into the "valleys"... The design doesn't look distorted?

I guess I'm confused how the designs are being applied to the shirts? Heat press using heat transfers? Screen Print Heat transfers?

I've searched the forum for awhile and the census was that rib isn't a great fabric to print on.

It's only 12% rayon. So the results won't be consistent with what would happen if the shirt was 50-100% rayon.

Only the binding is ribbed, not the shirt itself.

I would guess direct screen print or screen print transfers.

I've printed on ribbed tanks before without any problem. Waterbased inks will give better results, but softhand plastisol ink are fine too. But the shirt you linked is not ribbed.

The Same blend Rayon+Cotton+Poly may be sublimated too, attaching you my print.

Looks to me like the design was done in heat press vinyl.

Those shirts aren't ribbed. The charcoal gray shirt is a American Apparel TR308 and the burnout is a Next Level Apparel 6533 Burnout racer back. Both not ribbed and easy to decorate via what ever method you choose.
Both styles shown could even be DTG printed with the right amount light-shirt (or "poly") pretreat.
Help, please! These are the type tanks I am dying to learn to make. I have been looking at heat presses on eBay, not sure what I need! So lost! Any advice, would be greatly welcomed and appreciated. Any pros know the best method for printing this way?
Thank you! 😄
