hi,
As I cant find anywhere in the UK that sells non uv glass.

does anyone know if people have exposed screens without using glass to weigh it down, when the uv blub is on top?
You maybe asking for wrong thing. You need low iron glass. Look at the edge of glass the more green the more iron and the more UV that will be filtered. If it’s a light tint of green your probably ok. It’s medium to dark green still would work just long exposures

There is no such thing as 100% non UV blocking glass but many low iron options. If you can get PPG staphire that is probably the best glass available.

DTS is how one exposes withou glass and a cheap used on in the US is $10,000 plus in working condition. If using films glass is a necessary evil.

The only request we make when we've had to replace our glass was for optically clear glass....meaning no small little bubbles in the glass. We use 1/4" plate glass...6mm in the UK? Just test when you have any change to your exposure equipment and you'll be fine.
