I recently purchased the Saatiprint 21 step exposure guide to determine my proper exposure time. I currently use the Tex-Blue emulsion from Texsource and I have the standard light box from Ryonet.
I ran my first test on a 130 mesh screen for 5 min. The sheet that came with the light box says 5:15 but it was hard to wash out. Anyway, I ran the step guide at 5 minutes and 14 blocks washed out. Per the instructions, the ideal time would wash out 7 solid blocks. It recommends reducing the exposure time by .25 which would reduce the exposure time to just under 4 min. Last night I exposed a screen for 4 minutes and it washed out well (14 blocks) and the image was a little jagged around the edges.
Anyone have any words of advice? It seems that I need to increase my exposure time to achieve the 7 blocks and a more solid image.
Thanks. Matt
