Hello everyone,
New to this forum and happy to be here!
We've been screen printing for about 1.5 years now and it's been going very well.
We've been using an exposure unit with black light that we built ourselves, and a diazo two part emulsion.
About a month ago we started experiencing a dramatic reduction in exposure time: from 1:15 minutes (for a 62 t mesh screen, 158 In us count) , to about 5 seconds!!
We tried everything: using a new box of emulsion, using a different type of emulsion, changing the light bulbs, using higher and lower temperatures in the dark room, we sealed the dark room better, nothing works!! This low and unstable exposure time leads to bad results (very difficult to get the times right).
Did anyone experience something alike, or maybe has an idea as to what the problem might be?
Many thanks, Michael
