exposure blanket material

I've seen it listed on Ebay average cost about 150.00 also seen some other material listed on ebay for much less but know nothing about what it is made of or what kind of Longevity it has.... I recently bought out another Printer an aquired a Vacume exposure unit in the deal that also needs a new blanket...however there is crumbs of the old one scattered everywhere inside this unit.... and dont know if this is normal when they age or if this is what happens when you use other then the recommended material Haven't cleaned it up or replaced the blanket yet myself because havent really had a need for this unit yet...

where do you live in NC. I live in Florence, SC. It's near I-95/I-20....also near South of the Border hehehe. Sounds like that blanket is dry rotten or something. I also saw some stuff on ebay...looks like innertube type rubber. Take it easy.
