I'm trying to expose this emulsion with this unit.

I haven't been able to find the correct exposure time on any of the charts that came with the emulsion, due to my light exposing unit supposedly only being 15 watts. I tried to expose at 3 minutes, and the emulsion ended up washing out in chunks, totally destroying the design.

Any ideas on how long I should expose? I'm willing to test a few different times to find what works the best, but I need a ballpark range to work with. Thanks!

Go ask on their Facebook site. They sell both so they will know good starting points. Facebook.ryonet.com or go to their sponsor thread on this site if there is one. I could have sworn I saw a rep of theirs posting to a thread.

Also did you put the foam pad in the back of your screen and weigh it down. Exposure unit glass, then transparency, then screen (print side down), then foam block In the cavity of the screen, then something heavy on the foam?

Yeah, but I think I found the problem. It was really sunny when I was washing it out and I think it exposed further while I was outside. I really appreciate your help! I'll keep you up to date.

Yeah that's bad. The sun is the most efficient single point exposure unit out there. The emulsion should just melt away like butter after you wet it and let it sit for 30 seconds. Good luck, the trial and error is what makes us smarter and more competent printers.
