I have a
Stahls A2Z swing press
Silhouette Cameo 4
Epson ET-2800 with sublimation ink

I want to make sure that I am maximizing my equipment before buying another single piece. What are some of the uses this setup will allow me to create. For example so far I am doing sublimation on light colors. I know I have to buy different dye sub paper for dark fabrics.

Sublimation- Light colors 100% polyester

Not sure what other people's experiences are with the swing away... but my Fusion is useless for sublimation. I hate the thing with a passsion.

When it clamps down it shifts a bit.... not sure if that one works the same way.

After using a clamshell, I find the swing away very very slow when banging out hundreds of shirts.

It is good if you are doing complicated spirit wear with split fronts ect...

There is no such thing as dye sub paper for darks.

With your setup you can also do vinyl.

So literally sublimation is basically for white, off white or light grey tees with a high polyester count. Therefore vinyl with dark tees?

Correct. But it can work on any color poly tee as long as the ink is darker than the garment. So, black on red yes. Yellow on red, no.

There is some vinyl that you can dye sublimate on, but your mileage may vary.

1. All CMYK based printing methods are for white substrates.
2. Sublimation only works on polyester.

as mentioned htv, there are many different colors/patterns/materials to htv (glitter, metallic, clear and glow in the dark are winners for me)

don't forget about sign vinyl and plastisol transfers
