Hi,
Based on what most members of this forum have recommended, we are going to purchase the Epson Workforce 1100 printer to print our images onto heat transfer paper (not sure what kind to use just yet) and then use the heat press machine.

I just read that special heat transfer inks work BETTER and can be used with the Epson printers than stock Epson ink cartridges.

Anyone know - does this type of ink work better? Does it work in the Epson Workforce 1100 printer?

Anyone want to suggest the best type of transfer paper to use w/ this printer and these inks?

Any pigment ink like what comes with the 1100 will work fine. You can purchase a CIS for it and save money on ink. The paper depends on what color garments your going to print on. There is paper for lights and darks. I do not do darks and use JPSS for lights.

I used the ink that came with the 1100 and came out faded colors weren't right.

Epson ink WILL change colors when heated, use the high temp inks for transfers

You can use Pigment ink for Transfers. That's what's recommended. High temp ink is for Sublimation for hard surfaces.

3g Opague is great for Dark shirts, and JPSS for light shirts.

If you want to eventually print on Mugs, Mouse Pads etc. Sublimation or High Temp ink is the way to go as mentioned above.
