Hey Truman, i hope so cause I just ordered one!
Now you mentioned it Im looking at both epson sites atm.......DPI are the same..the photo looks the same, ink droplet the same....hmmm looks the the goods. You know what the yanks are like about names whats gonna sell? the t1100 or THE WORKFORCE 1100
haha:D
I have the same question. I would love to buy Epson WorkForce 1100 but the customer support emailed me that the said model is not released in my country. She offered Epson Stylus Office T1100 as an alternative instead. I replied her with additional inquiries and I'm still waiting for a response.

Would this printer (Epson Stylus Office T1100) be a good alternative for Epson Workforce 1100 ? We are aiming to use the said model for tshirt printing purposes and I wonder if this recommended alternative Epson Stylus Office T1100 would be suited for the job.

Thanks and more power to this great community.
No feedback ? :) Nice . :)
Hi, I am also in a situation here. The Stylus Office T1100 and the Workforce have 2 black cartridges and then the cyan, magenta and yellow and from what I have been comparing they are basically the same printer. There might be something more with the workforce (I did not compare all the specs) as the workforce in South Africa is twice the cost of the Office, but we can get both here. I have ordered the Office Stylus and will compare with my R1900 when it arrives just on how it is built etc and not on print quality as my R1900 was also twice the cost of the Office T1100. Very confusing!!!

Paul, if you are from the Philippines, teestudio has an Epson workforce 1100 in their website. Verify with them though.

The photo stylus series is designed and optimized for printing photos and the workforce series is optimized for business applications. Although it can print photos, it is designed for printing documents and can print letters faster. The workforce uses durabrite inks while the stylus uses epson stylus inks(i think).

I think they are both the same. I am from the UK and here it is called the B1100 lol.
As of now i have a 1400 and am thinking of trading it in for a 1100. Is there a year or version of a 1100 i need to be concerned about getting or i should stay away from?

Why the trade?
I am just getting into sublamation i want to make shirts hats for my fishing site plus the wife wants to play around with it. I purchased a 1400 some months ago and have never used it yet and now i am looking into the price of the sublamation ink. I have realized the sublamation ink for a 1400 will cost more than what i paid for the printer. After looking around the 1100 seems to have more available and less start up cost compared to the 1400.

I am new to sublamation and this is just what i have gathered if i am wrong please point me in the right direction.
I can't comment on which printer is more suitable for sublimation.
Have you looked at the price of the 1100's Sublimation ink cost?

Cobra Ink has something called High Temperature and it's suppose to be cheaper but the same use.
I found a link on this site that has much more reasonably priced ink for the 1400.

I found the Cobra site and I am looking at there site now but i dont know which one i need.

And I think the stylus 1400 is sold as photo 1400.

I checked them out and we are currently weighing the options if we could squeeze the budget for it and if we want to own a "refurbished" printer.

Thanks.
Just an update

I've checked the printer drivers of the 1100s. The driver for the stylus T1100 and B1100 comes in an installation file and is larger than the work force drive. But the driver for the T1100/B1100 are different (If we are to base it on the installation program which ask you to select if you are installing for a T1100 or a B1100).

In this regard, we can say that the T1100, B1100 and Workforce printers has some minor differences and in relation to my earlier post, the way I understand it, the workforce is optimized for office use and the stylus is for photo prints. I am not sure where the B1100 falls under. I also seem to come across an office stylus and a photo stylus. Forgot to note the link but at any rate, however minor the differences, based on the epson driver installer, at least the T1100 and the B1100 have some differences. It is also safe to presume that the workforce, which has a separate driver also has some differences.
I forgot to update this thread.I have been using a plug-in software called gutenprint. It is a collection of enhanced printer drivers that enable the user much more control over the printer like ink density, etc. It has separate drivers for the

epson stylus office B1100.
epson stylus office T1100,
epson workforce 1100, and the

In this regard, I think it is safe to say that the 3 epson printers or variants with model numbers 1100 are indeed different. They may be the same in general usage but they are different in some specifics(region specific???). Otherwise gutenprint programmers would have written only a single printer driver for the 3 models.
