We are considering moving to this larger format printer. I was curious if any others moved from desktop printer to this machine what the experience was like and if they are glad they did?

One reason was are considering this printer is we want to get away from spraying adhesive on fabrics and the tacky paper from TexPrint is only available on rolls.

Also, I would like to see If we had any ghosting with the tacky paper if anyone had this setup (Epson 6200 and TexPrint tacky)would be willing to send me a few samples to test. I would pay for shipping and time/cost.

Thanks.

There are many wide format printers to choose from. Daniel Schelin of Digitally Driven is on this BB can guide you through pros and cons of ask the major brands and talk to you about ink and paper.

I've been happy to be a client of his. He's been very honest every step of the way with me! Not many like him in this business!

If you are going to by anything Epson then do yourself a favor and call IT Supplies out of Illinois. The are the only company I use for Epson equipment because:
1) without charging you extra, the will send out their team to install the machine
2) they will train your entire staff
3) they install the print profiles for your machine. Without those your prints look like crap. I helped s woman from Facebook last month who took delivery of F2000 and 6200 from a company that is very active on this forum. No training. No installation. I ended up giving her IT Supplies number and they used Teamviewer to get her set up. She wasn’t even their customer but they helped anyway.
4) they purchased a company that specializes in color management. Now, all of the customers get access to those guys at no additional charge. If you are coming from another type of sublimation Printer and you want to make sure the color is consistent then they will make that happen.

Truth: I do not work for them! I am a believer in customer service and I think they provide a high level of it. I have other stories of things they have done for my shop but I think I’ve covered what you need to know. Hope this helps.
