Hi, I have just recently bought a Epson XP 245 printer and at the first installation I’ve tried the CISS Cartridges but the printer won’t recognize it. I even tried the Original Cartridges that I got with the packaging, the printer recognizes it, and I guess the firmware got updated during the installation (I’m using Windows 10) and suggests how can I get the CISS Cartridge recognized by my printer??? The ink light goes off when I press the reset button but as soon as it goes for charging the ink light goes on again...

I would contact the company you got the bulk ink setup from.

There is a pretty firm rule to NOT ever upgrade your software/firmware for your printer from out of the box. When installing it you have to also be very careful of possible options to update software and firmware.

The new Epson printers do not allow CISS or refillable cartridges

Common issue of stealth firmware updates.
It can be reversed if you can find the older firmware. Maybe somebody in this forum has it.

firmware update is not stealth. It is just ticked and people which doesn't read and just pressing next/next/next ends up with updated firmware. At least with epson software which I have. I doubt others have very different software.
