I am looking to talk to someone about this printer if there is anyone out there i would appreciate the help. I am wondering if this type of printer would be different from my vinyl printer that i currently use now for some shirts. I am kinda looking todo something that transfers the ink(like sublimation). Thanks for the help..

Here is the background on the Epson 2200, it came with 7 Ultra Chrome Inks its been replaced with the Epson R3000. This is a pigment based printer as sben763 mentioned before. Pigment inks are ideal for heat transfers.

Epson Stylus Photo 2200 Ink Jet Printer, Overview - Product Information - Epson America, Inc.

If its full on ink that's a bonus. If not, give Cobra inks a call and look into their pigment ink and paper
.:: Cobra Ink Systems::. This is where the term CIS began they have all the transfer settings and color profiles you need for their ink.

Otherwise, you are good to go.
