sound to me you have a bad cartridge, electronics sometime go bad,,, are you using refillable cartridges with the reset chip on them??
Epson p 800 can not reset ink with chip resetter
Hello, I recently purchased a ufo printer base for the epson p 800.
I wish i would of new about the american made models not being able to reset with regualr ink carts.
I purchased the ink resetter from ali express.Basically the only one out there.It worked the first time i used it but i need to reset the inks again and this time in resets all but one ink.I think it is the oringal one that was not working thats way i bought the ink resetter.
I can not reset normally as there in no cover to open.
If i push the next buttom then it wants to open the cover but then has an error as there no cover to open.
I can not fix this error.I hope someone can help.

This model can reset only 1 time.
For reset more time need use a decoder board.
For reset more time need use a decoder board.
I would say get a new mother board,, I see them online for $50 or more, not a big job to replace..
im having a sort of similar problem with the waste ink counter.... the ssc utility wont allow me to reset it, it just gives me the "printer off or some other problem" error box.
give this a go,,may do the job.. when it asks you for the verification numbers/license just type in trial. Make sure the printer is on... wicreset/trial
