I'm looking into buying an Epson 7010 inkjet printer with a CIS. Can anyone give me a heads up on this printer? I'm going to be doing inkjet transfers on JPSS paper.

Thanks, I'll be looking for your Review.
Are there any updates on whether you were able to get the system to work for you? I am looking at the same printer which is currently on special at epson.com. I have read there might be issues using a CIS on this model.
I have recently purchased a 7010 with a cis. Works perfectly.
Can you send or post a link to the CIS system you are using? I am ordering my printer today! Thanks for the reply.
Thank you for the info. I have just a couple other questions. THE purpose of the CIS system, is it just to save money over the use of the printer cartridges? Could I in there use after market cartridges with PIGMENT inks as well? I don't think I will be printing a lot of shirts to start as I will be doing vinyl cutting as well for some t-shirts.

I have been a commercial printer for 24 years and just decided to get into t-shirts as a side business from my home. Do you have any other quick tips concerning ink jet transfers? I have being reading quite a bit on the forum and it seems the Jetsprosoft is the preferred paper for doing this.
The cis makes it easier to to put ink in the cartridges without having to keep taking them out and making a mess. I'm very new to this myself. Maybe one month in. You can just do the refillable cartridges also. Corba ink has everything.

Noob question - Does this Cobra Ink setup classify as Sublimation Ink? Should be I able to print mug and mouse pad transfers?

No not on mugs although you can do transfers on mousepads but better done with sublimation also. Cobra inks are pigment not sublimation
Soo the pigment ink is ok for t-shirts transfers, but not mugs and mouse pads?
Pigment ink is good for 100% cotton tees some do on 50/50 also. The limited amount of heat transfers we do only on 100%. Sublimation is done on 100% polyester.
.:: Cobra Ink Systems::. This is where the term CIS began YOU CAN ALSO BUY ONE FOR UNDER $130 ON AMAZON Amazon.com: Epson WorkForce WF-7010 Wide-Format Color Inkjet Printer (C11CB59201): Electronics YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO BUY ONE AND HAVE IT SHIPPED TO COBRA TO INSTALL THE CIS.
I wonder if that one on Amazon is a good setup and also how it resets. Never heard of that inkXpro company.
I have the 7010 with a Ciss from Cobraink, and I love it. Printer can sit idle for a few days and still print flawlessly. I would invest in a vinyl cutter for contour cutting around those transfers.

I bought a Cameo. Seems to be doing ok. I am struggling with finding the right transfer papers. Been going through some samples...
I am trying to get nice opaque prints on film using the OeM carts on the 7010. I have tried different paper settings with some improvement but nothing like the opacity I got from my 1280 which I sold. Any suggestions?
I got a CIS from hotzone360 for my WF7010.....No complaints here, works perfect...colors are rich and vibrant.......Wash test came back perfect!!!!!!!!
