Is the printer new or used?

If new, put the original Epson carts in it, run a bunch of ink through it so that nothing but Epson ink comes out and send it back to Epson for a warranty claim.

I suspect it's used, bought on the cheap in an attempt to try to do something for less than it usually costs. Anyway, if so, ask the seller why he sold you a defective, worn out machine.

When he tells you to take a flying leap, get a new machine. Not new to you. A really new machine.

Although Epson is not the best, you can get a new WF-7610, which handles up to a 13"x19" transfer sheet, for usually about $150, quite often from Epson.

Or if you are on a bigger budget, you can get a better Ricoh, which won't handle anywhere nearly as large a transfer sheet, from any Sawgrass dealer.

It looks as though there is crud somewhere in the paper delivery system (the rubber rollers wear out too) or excess ink somewhere which is contacting the paper.

Can't tell which from your photos.
