Epson 1430 giving me streaks/roller tracking. What do you do?

I just started having this problem today of black streaks running vertically up/down the film. It's only on one side of the film but it's enough for me to have ruined several pieces of film and say a cuss word or 2.

Quick fix for this? I ran a nozzle check and a head cleaning before this happened.

photo attached.

Thnx for any help.

Clean the rollers and tracks. Happens when you put too much ink in the cartridges or ones cracked.

How is this done? I've never had to do it before.
I've had this happen when printing photos as well. The carts (i use refillables) dripped onto the rolller and they tracked ink onto a few pages. I ended up running 10-12 pages through the printer until I didn't see any more ink. You can also open the top of the printer and clean the rollers with a cleaning solution.
I think it might have to do with the wastepad/docking area of the printer being dirty and filled with ink from cleanings and whatnot.
When I refill my carts I will move the printer head to the left into the print area and I will try to soak up as much ink as I can from the docking station using a wad of papertowel. I am in the process of adding a waste tank to my 1400 and I hope that helps with the dirty docking area a little bit because the sponge in the docking area might be able to drain faster. There are also cleaning solutions and fluids you can put into carts and leave in your printer to help maintain a clean printer head and docking station.

hope that helped.

All good info. To add if the capping station, I'm guessing that's what Scott is referring to should be cleaned I pinch off the waste pad tube I already have a waste tank, and slowly add warm to hot water to the sponge on the capping station. Then after several min remove all I can with syringe. Then gently wipe the capping station with a paper towel. Be careful of the rubber gasket that surrounds the capping station. The actual waste ink pad is under the printer.

Another good maintenance is to clean the printhead bottom. There is a video or instructions on cobras site I think. If can't find post here and I'll try to find some.

All great info. I ran 2 pieces of waste film through and it seems to be okay now. But I will refer back to this thread if it happens again. Thanks!
I've been looking for this video along with some other materials, but this one pertains more to this topic..
This is a great tutorial video on cleaning the Epson 1400 (and I assume 1430 and other Epson piezo printers):

That's the one I was referring to. I was thinking it was on Cobra's site. I have the piezo flush and the cartridge adaptor from inkjetmall. The paper towel trick on the bottom of the print head or soaking the head(I know that info is on Cobra's site) has fix tons of Craigslist printers. The 1430 is similar to the 1400. If I remember right the cartridges don't move with the head like the 1400. I don't want to open the spare to check.
