My 1430 started having banding issues out of nowhere last week. I print a lot, so the printer doesn’t sit unused. Nothing has changed in my settings. The designs printed just fine before this issue started. I’ve done nozzle checks (they’re fine) and head cleanings. I’ve done the Windex soaked paper towel under the ink carriage. If I change the settings from photo to best photo, it almost completely fixes it but it takes so long for one print. And I never had to use best photo before so I’m not sure why I’d have to now. I’m at a loss. Any suggestions?

I use refillable carts and TexPrint XPHR or Dyetrans paper. Happens with both papers. I bought new cartridges and switched from Cobra to Inkxpro inks. That didn’t fix the issue.

You need to flush the head. If your getting good nozzle checks and one good print then banding it’s starving for ink and likely build up within the head.

Do not flush with windex. Either warm water or piezo flush.

When I used refillable carts I would change new carts every time I would get new ink. Using ciss I change every other ink bottle. I only do this with sublimation and pigment ink as the contain larger particles and especially with sublimation as they near their expiration date start to clump. If you shake the inks weekly this seems to extend the life for me.
