My Question is : The cutter head chatters very badly only when cutter head is traveling to the right on straight cuts leaving a saw tooth type cut in the vinyl or easyweed. have replaced blade, teflon strip, cleaned, also will sometimes start squealing when traveling to right and cut will be way off and cutter will slam against left side of machine. tryed s/w for help but no returned email or phone calls. Can some one help all ideas appreciated. this is my only cutter.

Being at work at the moment I don't have access to my cutter, do they have slides or bearing that contact the rail? My guess is that they just slide along the rail (aluminum extrusion). I'm sure that there are probably some nylon or teflon buttons or slides to glide on the rail. If so, they are probably worn out. You would have to take apart the cutter head to examine it closely. I doubt that the jerkiness of the cutter- head is do to the the servo motors. It most likely has to do with the way it slides back and forth on the rail. Have you tried lubricating the rails with some spray silicone? That might help. It could be just binding a little.
