Ok i have done this only a few times in my screen-printing lifetime... Having resorted to the razor blade and re-meshing the frame. I'm still looking for anyway to remove locked in dryed emulsion remover from a screen without re-meshing.. Is there such a thing? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated...

If you left emulsion remover in the screen and it dried. It's done. There is no way to get it out without really harsh solvents (haze removers) and that's not a gaurantee that they'll work.

It's best to scrap the mesh and re-mesh the screen.

Emulsion removers generally only need 1-2 minutes of sitting on the screen, then wash them out. Don't let them dry in the screen, or else it (without getting too technical) binds chemically with the emulsion and locks up, thus making it impossible to reclaim after that.

You think I would know by now not to leave a screen while re-claiming... Ill try soaking it in haze remover and then blasting it with some how water. Will see if that works. Thanks for the replies! I

yeah I know how that is... I jacked a few of mine like that too...

i was able to get some off mine with the hot water method, but not all of it... maybe you can save a decent sized section in the middle if you are lucky

Razor blade method is best....not worth the time to try to remove! note....DON'T leave emulsion remover on screens!

Sometimes you can "muscle" it out by going to a car wash and using their high pressure hoses to blast it out. No guarantee but worth a try before you scrap the mesh.
