I coated a few screens with Ryonet SVP blue and put them into my drying cabinet with heat around 90 degrees for 30 minutes and let it sit over night. I pull the screens out and the seem fine....after 5 minutes of sitting they become very tacky and sticky. I burned a screen and the film positive ink stuck to the screen after burning.
Has anyone else had problems like this?
What am I doing wrong?
I use to use a brand called purple 2 and it worked great and Ive never had these problems...
Has your humidity or temperature changed a lot recently?
did you apply a heavier coat of emulsion?
Did it expose well?
Check and make sure that your drying cabinet is operating properly...fan-wise, exhausting...
The Ryonet (rebranded CCI) photopolymer emulsions take a long time to dry, are much more sensitive to humidity then most other photopolymers. I've tried several of the CCI photopolymers and I had to quit using them due to the humidity issues. When the worked was great but I had to keep the shop low humidity and cooler then I wanted.
