Embroidery on top of DTF print

509 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  TABOB
Good day everyone. I got this peculiar order whereas the client want a mix of DTF print and stitches on top. Here is an example:

Plant Neck Sleeve Gesture Finger

It was a T-shirt cotton combed 24s
Is it safe to stitch on top of DTF print? or can I just order pre cut embroidery and apply glue on it? thanks!

Looks like the white text is screen-printed (DTF may be acceptable), and the flower part is applique.
You use the underlay stitches to position the pieces of fabric, and then you do the embroidery part.
Use adhesive to prevent puckering of large areas when cotton shrinks.
Using DTF or vinyl instead of fabric is of course possible, but may not look as good.

OK so no problem stitching over dtf print then? I outsource the embroidery part and they said it was fine too.

Thanks a lot for the info, you sure know a lot of stuff 😄

As long as the customer is OK with it, not a problem.
Personally, I would use fabric.

TABOB's parents would be an interesting case study, what produced this anomaly?
are they of the same ilk, or just regular folks like us???

or another option is TABOB is a product of the uk govt. black ops (ala village of the damned)
TABOB, do you, or your parents, hail from midwich?
can you bench-press over 7x your body weight?
do you wear glasses?

No, but I do live in a rural area, and one of the locals insists he has seen a UFO.

do you wear glasses?
Nope.
