Hi guys,

At the moment we only really offer t-shirts and hoodies as we can press vinyl on to these without losing that much quality. I think printing vinyl on polo shirts looks a tad cheap so we're looking to move into embroidery. While we'd love to do this in-house we're not yet at that stage so would be looking to outsource for now.

So three questions really,

Can anyone highly recommend a supplier for embroidery?

What sort of cost would we be looking at for say orders of 150-200 items with a small 2 or 3 coloured logo on the left breast? I appreciate it's difficult to be accurate with that description.

Lastly, I've seen many manufacturers offering polos but we're aiming at the top end of the market. A quality polo that will wash well and sits well on the wearer. :D

Any help at all appreciate but I understand I'm being a bit vague.

Hi from a sunny South Wales :)

We've been doing embroidery for a few years now, we still work from home in order to keep costs down. We do all our own digitizing.

You can see some of the stuff we've produced over the recent past by following this link:

As you can see, we also use vinyl, rhinestones and we'just purchased a Neoflex Direct to Garment printer and inherited yet another huge learning curve :)

Cheers

vinyl on polo shirts won't look cheap if you have decent polo shirts. I've tried and tested dozens of polo shirts, as originally, when i started i was getting similar results to you. Because of the weave/locks from the stitchingl, most are never totally flat...there are ridges within the material. Usually on the poorer quality shirts, this is the case, but i've also come across more expensive with the same stitching. You basically need to try and test various shirts, and find a polo with a closer stich and so slightly more even...I now have a few great suppliers for polo shirts and have never have a bad result. The only time things look slightly unprofessional when applying vinyl onto a polo, is small detialed designs or text. These simply will not look right due to the stitching/weaving of the material, unless you have a very goood quality polo with tight weave.
