Hello. This is my first post!

We are relatively new to the embroidery business, and we wanted to see if you guys can help us out with a question about embroidery backing:

On the Nike Swoosh for example, it would almost appear as they use no backing, or maybe a specific type of tear-away backing. Anyone have any ideas to do small logos/letters and have the backside almost appear not to have any backing. We already tried putting Solvy as backing and topping, but there was puckering and it didnt stabilize there well.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

I use 40grm tearaway backing, once torn away from small logo's it will appear that no backing has been used, however on small lettering the backing will stay within the letters and cannot easily be removed. It shouldn't be detrimental to the garment though, I use black backing on darker fabrics and white on everything else. The number of pieces of backing used depends on the density of the design and the substrate.
Hope this helps
Janet
