There's an ad on eBay for an A4 UV Flatbed Printer being auctioned for repair or a project. Might go cheap and I've been looking to do a DTS/DTG project for a while now so I'm wondering if it's worth a punt.

It's made by a company called Vevor and based on an Epson L800. The seller says they were using it to print pouches but it threw up a '50H error (Home Position Seeking Error). Is this fixable by swapping the carriage out for same model or similar or am I likely to come across other issues (he/she says they've done all the usual maintenance etc... but can't get it to work and no-one will come out to fix it, hence it being on eBay)?

Also, could something so small be rigged for DTG or do you really need A3? I'm just wondering if it could be my entry to DTS/DTG for two or three hundred or is it likely to become a money pit?
