I sold one item on Etsy and zero on eBay. On eBay your ads are buried under tens of thousands of other ads just like it. Some people are successful on eBay but I never had any luck with it. There are other avenues out there like cafepress but I've never used them, so I couldn't tell you if they are worth it or not.

It depends on (1) how unique you are in your designs and (2) how your pricing stacks up. You also run the high risk of someone (particularly on eBay) finding and copying your designs that are successful and then undercutting you.

You've got to find a way to stand out / develop a niche for yourself to be successful on either one.

When someone rips off your design this quickly, and an original high res digital image of the design (color separated if it's a color design) is not readily available, do they just use a screen cap or buy one shirt and take the graphic off the shirt to make screens out of it???

I agree with paradig uniqueness is key but also making something that people want at the right price. I play with pricing and when sales slow I know I've gone to high...ebay is tough since everyone wants to buy at dirt cheap prices
