Can anyone please help!! I know that you can do dye sublimation on ceramic plates however I have had a request for monogramming fine bone china.

I can not find any information on this, does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,

Melissa

There is a way to do plates but have to be coated with a special coating, can't think of name Conde' sales plates. You use a puck that Conde' Systems sales and is used.

My original thought of doing isn't what I understood it to be when I purchased the Sublimation Printer but only after purchase. I can do the plates, I've not tried yet but have to hand wash.

Thanks

Yes there are pucks and there is also the Geo Knight DC16 w/ a plate attachment which works much better then the pucks.
As long as the plate is coated for dyesub or you coat it then you can print on plates just fine. With the right art they come out great!

Yes we have sublimation printers, the list of stuff we make using sublimation is very long. But in short, apparel, hats, drink ware, cutting boards, plates, coasters, various photo panels (aluminum, glass, acrylic, slate, etc.), key chains, bags, and a ton of custom metal signage.

We are in Michigan.

You are not allow to print over any ceramic.
Who isn't allowed to print over ceramic?

We are talking about sublimation products...that is exactly what they are for...to put text/graphics/photos on.

If you are meaning you cant just press any ceramic mug you find (at the dollar store, etc) then yes, that is correct. But you most certainly are able to print on ceramic products that have been coated properly for dye sub.

There are both ceramic and glass plates that are available for dye-sub, but if you want a really nice plate, you are better off going to someone like sashanicholas.com that has them fired.
