Dye sub on nike socks 1st time error, Need help

Tried to do my first pair of socks today. I ended up buying a jig from Conde and used Dave to print out some artwork for me. Set my press for 400 at 30 seconds with medium pressure settings 5. Didn't end with good results. Point me in the right direction please.

What really concerns me is the area on the bottom of the foot area where I got no color. I rolled the heel up into the sock while pressing.

Also used a hotronix stx20 with an upper platen cover and one sheet of teflon paper to cover lower platen.

If I left out anything please don't hesitate to ask and I will clarify.

I now see the problem.
You need more pressure and maybe try 45 seconds.
The paper is bridging over the sock causing the white area.

The second area of concern is the edges . This is caused by lack of pressure OR the insert is to thick. I have seen this many times.
Teflon is a bad idea in general for dye subbing.
Use Kraft paper to avoid more issues of out gassing in the future.

I'll increase the time to 45 sec as you said and increase pressure up to 8. I'll use a similar sock to the nike sock until I get it right
I'll get some kraft paper. What do you mean by out gassing ?
You are flipping and doing both sides like a grilled cheese sandwich, Correct? Looking at the used paper it so appears you are, but ...
I initially did one side at a time. I should be placing both sides of the paper at once then pressing then flip ?
Should I peel off while hot or should I let cool before removing?

Yes like a sandwich This way the art lines up side to side. Always line up the art in the software and put to x marks outside the sock art for easy line up for both sides.

Cool is always easier.

Out Gassing takes more time to explain than I have this morning . Later will answer that.
No problem. I appreciate all the help. Increasing the time and pressure should do wonders for my edges and the area under the foot. The art I will fix and make it one complete image. That was my fault when I submitted it.

I won't use the teflon paper on the bottom. I just didn't want to stain the blue are on the bottom platen. I will get kraft paper as you suggested. Should I remove the upper platen protector and just use craft paper for top and bottom ?

Yes top and bottom Change it if it looks stained.
If you dont mind me asking...where did you get the blank nike socks from and how much did they costs??
Would it be ok if I buy kraft paper from the grocery store or should I buy from a company that sells heat press supplies?
Really appreciate it. I received my last order really fast this past Monday. I will place another order soon as I'm almost ready to start promoting my business
